Hello. Finally some good news about better training for NHS staff. I am so pleased.
I really hope my daughter benefits from this. Some staff in the NHS have been brillaint, but others could really have done with more training!
What about you? Have you had problems?
Also, I wish it was clearer who is going to do the training and what it will look like.
This is a subject very close to my heart. I tragically lost my beloved son because hospital staff did not listen to me and failed to provide the standard of care Nick needed. I do not want any family to endure the heartache and pain that we suffer every day. I am striving to ensure that face to face training will take place at the hospital where 36 failings contributed to my son’s tragic death. I am working in partnership with the CEO of the trust and will not give up until everything is in place to prevent future premature avoidable deaths of patients with LD and or Autism.
Hello @Sue2. I am so sorry to hear about your son. Also so impressed that you are working with the CEO and fighting to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Many thanks
Thank you Emma.
Have you seen the new Government consultation about this?
I have just posted some information here
Please spare a few minutes to fill it in and make sure Government knows what you think is needed.
cheers Sarah
