Hi everyone,
With Christmas Day approaching shockingly fast, I wondered what your perfect Christmas Day would look like for you. I think sometimes there is so much pressure to have a storybook looking day when actually that is the most stressful thing ever to actually to deliver, and not practical.
Hi @CreativeAndCynical What a great question! I like something really chilled out. Christmas can feel very ‘hyped’ in the run up, and a quiet Christmas is always my favourite. I know that my brother, who has learning disabilities, loves to walk and will always go for walks no matter how cold it gets!!
We usually try to watch Dr Who so we are going to miss that this year.
Instead we will be watching Elf the movie (again) and probably missing most of it as someone will be talking.
We also try to play a board game as some point. This year we have rediscovered Cluedo and a new one called King Domino.
@Maggie-home Elf is a great film…! Sounds like a fun day
I am sad its not on xmas day anymore got used to waiting for my dinner and getting excited about dr who especially runaway bride
I watched Elf just before Christmas and it got me in the festive mood.
Looking forward to my new year dose of Dr Who
Welcome to FamilyHub. We're all here because we care about learning disability. Some of us will have questions, and most of us will have stories to share.
